Ep 11:
It's Thanksgiving time in ‘the O.C.', and the Cohens, with Ryan, are preparing their feast. Kirsten tries her best to be the traditional mother, only the boys don't allow for such delusions. It is well known that Kirsten cannot cook. Sandy, Ryan, and Seth all take over the kitchen as Kirsten accepts a collect call. It is Trey, Ryan's brother. He has a favour to ask of Ryan, and asks him to come back to Chino and see him in jail. Ryan decides to go. Seth offers to go with him, but Ryan says that he'll go alone.
The Cohen's have invited Jimmy and Rachel over for dinner, and are planning for the two to get to know each other. Kirsten, and Marissa both, are creeped out that Julie and Caleb are a couple, and are spending the holiday together. Jimmy tells Marissa that he is moving on as well, and that her mother is still her mother, no hard feelings are necessary. Seth is nervous about Anna's arrival at his place for dinner, and Ryan teases him about wearing cologne. Seth tells Ryan about Summer's kiss on the yacht.
Ryan and Marissa retreat to the pool house, where they make-out. Ryan tells Marissa that he's going to Chino, and Marissa insists she'd rather go with him then to her mother's for dinner. She says she wants to see his life. Ryan says no, but then reluctantly agrees to her company when he finds her sitting in the car waiting for him. Back in the house, Rachel arrives, and to both her, and Jimmy's surprise, they realize that they have been set up for the evening.
Ryan and Marissa arrive in Chino, and go to the jail to visit Trey. The visit doesn't go as smoothly as Ryan might have hoped. It isn't just a holiday visit between family. Turns out that Trey had some outstanding debts upon his arrest, and he wants Ryan to go and erase those debts, so that Trey doesn't get a bounty put onto him. Ryan tells Marissa and wants to take him to the bus station. But Marissa refuses to leave Ryan, and decides to go along on the car theft mission.
Meanwhile, back in the O.C., Anna arrives at the Cohen house, which Sandy and Kirsten find adorable- their little boy is all growed up. Out on the terrace, Rachel fumes that Sandy tried to set her up with Jimmy, and ex-con. Jimmy realizes the same and confronts Kirsten. Rachel insists Sandy only took part in the farce because he's trying to kill, and not deal with his feelings for her. But the anger over the set up dies quickly, as Jimmy and Rachel discover they have a passion together, football. Surprise at the Cohen house, when Julie and Caleb arrive to pick up Marissa.
Back in Chino, Ryan and Marissa arrive at Theresa's house, an old girlfriend of Ryan's. He needs to speak to Arturo, her brother. Marissa and Theresa are surprised to meet each other, as there was no warning. Ryan promises to explain later. Marissa sees pictures of Ryan around the house, and Theresa explains how upset she was that Ryan just left without warning.
Back at the Cohen house, everyone wonders where Marissa is. And Julie decides she doesn't like Rachel very much. Sandy and Caleb butt heads, and Summer arrives. Never a dull moment. Seth, panicked about Summer and Anna meeting, takes Summer to the pool house. There, she tackles him and eats his face. Seth is speechless and runs back into the house to make sure Anna is clueless. She is, but wonders where he's been. Seth takes her up to his room for some privacy. Anna then eats his face. But he needs to get back downstairs to see Summer so he tells her he needs to check on the cauliflower he's been steaming. He calls Ryan and he informs him that Marissa is with him. When he goes downstairs he tells his mom that Marissa is in Chino, and Julie overhears, in disgust. Then Seth goes out to see Summer, and back up to see Anna. He's thrilled, but exhausted. While he's up with Anna, Sandy goes to the pool house and sees Summer. She runs out in embarrassment when she realizes it's not Seth, and panics.
Back in Chino, Ryan delivers the stolen car, but the bad guys demand "interest" and gang up on Ryan. Marissa had followed Ryan in her own car and rolls up to save him. Mission accomplished. And back in the O.C., Sandy discusses that it isn't right to lead on his two women. And the turkey burns. Dinner is ruined. Summer and Anna come into the kitchen at the same time and see each other. They realize Seth had played them both and each of them storm out. And back to Chino, Ryan tells Trey that the car was delivered and that he'll never do another chore for him. Trey tells him not to come back and visit, that he has a chance and must leave Chino behind.
Ryan and Marissa return to the O.C. to find everyone eating Chinese food for dinner. They join in and go to console Seth after his failed polygamy. And Rachel and Jimmy decide to see each other again some time. Not all holidays have to be bad in ‘The O.C.'
